Electron-Phonon Properties of Pnictide Superconductors
In this paper we discuss the normal and superconducting state properties of two pnictide superconductors, LaOFeAs and LaONiAs, using Migdal-Eliashberg theory and density functional perturbation theory. For pure LaOFeAs, the calculated electron-phonon coupling constant λ = 0.21 and logarithmic-averaged frequency ωln = 206K, give a maximum Tc of 0.8 K, using the standard Migdal-Eliashberg theory....
متن کاملLearning to Visually Predict Terrain Properties for Planetary Rovers
For future planetary exploration missions, improvements in autonomous rover mobility have the potential to increase scientific data return by providing safe access to geologically interesting sites that lie in rugged terrain, far from landing areas. This thesis presents an algorithmic framework designed to improve rover-based terrain sensing, a critical component of any autonomous mobility syst...
متن کاملQuasiparticle properties of a coupled quantum-wire electron-phonon system.
We study leading-order many-body effects of longitudinal optical (LO) phonons on electronic properties of one-dimensional quantum wire systems. We calculate the quasiparticle properties of a weakly polar one dimensional electron gas in the presence of both electron-phonon and electron-electron interactions. The leading-order dynamical screening approximation (GW approximation) is used to obtain...
متن کاملTransfer Learning to Predict Missing Ratings via Heterogeneous User Feedbacks
Data sparsity due to missing ratings is a major challenge for collaborative filtering (CF) techniques in recommender systems. This is especially true for CF domains where the ratings are expressed numerically. We observe that, while we may lack the information in numerical ratings, we may have more data in the form of binary ratings. This is especially true when users can easily express themsel...
متن کاملThe Effects of Different Electron-Phonon Couplings on the Spectral and Transport Properties of Small Molecule Single-Crystal Organic Semiconductors
Spectral and transport properties of small molecule single-crystal organic semiconductors have been theoretically analyzed focusing on oligoacenes, in particular on the series from naphthalene to rubrene and pentacene, aiming to show that the inclusion of different electron-phonon couplings is of paramount importance to interpret accurately the properties of prototype organic semiconductors. Wh...
